Who do you think would win this match up. They are both power strikers who would go toe to to toe. Chong Li is bigger, but without cheating would he beat Tong Po?

Chong Li already won that fight (at least in in a van Dame movie) in Bloodsport. Tong Po was the fighter that got his leg broken.

I am SICK of that goddamn argument It was the same ACTOR that does NOT make him the same CHARACTER, the CHARACTER Tong Po is way tougher.
And Chong Li is bigger in that he is more buffed but Tong Po is a lot taller, he towered over Chong in Bloodsport and over Van Damme In Kickboxer. With such long arms and legs he would have a major reach advantage.

"Tong Po was a way tougher fighter"!? He never gets a strike on Van Damme once he no longer had to throw the fight. He does have a few inches on Van Damme, but it didn't seem to matter. He didn't use his height or reach to his advantage.
Chong Li at least got a few good strikes on Dux. And he already beat two people that were much taller than him in that tournament, so he knew how to handle himself against taller opponents.
Michel Qissi fought a much better fight in Bloodsport than he did in Kickboxer. He seemed to use his reach advantage more so in Bloodsport against Chong Li. And, since the Kumite was a tournament for the world's best fighters, who's to say that Qissi's character in Bloodsport wasn't a better fighter than the one he played in Kickboxer?

Chong Li beat that guy pretty easily, if he really was superior to the character Tong Po then Tong Po would not stand a chance against Chong Li.
Part of what made Chong so deadly is he was like an MMA fighter. He had great wrestling and grappling technique and the strength to back it up AND lethal moves that would not be allowed in an official kickboxing match not even in Muay Thai so specifically in a Thai Kickboxing match Chong Li would be in trouble against any master of that art including Paco from Bloodsport, in a muay thai kickboxing match Kurt Sloan, Paco, and Tong Po would all beat Chong Li. Same goes for other specialized martial arts for example any world class boxer (Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Mike Tyson etc) would beat Chong Li (anyone in the kumite actually) as long as it was JUST BOXING.

Tong Po is way taller than Chong Li, 8 and a half inches if my calcultations are correct and Muay Thai is his specialty.
in a muay thai fight it totally goes to Tong Po.
Chong's hope would be a fight where wrestling and grappling is allowed like MMA because he is stronger, built like a tank while Tong Po has a tall wiry streamlined kind of strength plus in a kumite style fight Chong could end it quickly with a lethal move.
Trading blows in a kickboxing match totally goes to Tong Po.
That being said Chong Li's kicks WOULD likely do more damage than Tong Pos because he is so much stronger including very buffed strong leg muscles but getting close would be his problem Tong Po could hold him at bay.

This is an impossible question to answer, as we have no idea which friendsrelatives/love interests of one fighter have been injured/crippled/raped by the other beforehand, nor are we aware of the availability of salt/torches during the match itself.

Interestingly enough, gossip on set of Kickboxer was that Tong Po's nickname for Jean-Claude was hotpocket. So you may be on to something
- Currently watch classic Cinema like Gods of Egypt

Tong Po is stockier and less clumsy looking. Chong Li is mean, but Tong Po is meaner, plus he is also a rapist as depicted. One's money would be best bet on Tong Po as he would likely come out on top, although his amped up nastiness over Chong Li's, could make it appear that he shouldn't.
