Desperate to make a better life for himself, Sterling attempts to steal Laird's lottery ticket by pointing his gun at him. Chaos ensues in Your Lucky Day's final arc, where both Amir and Sterling get shot during a showdown against Cody's father, Dick. Even when one of Dick's friends, Dobbs, shows up inside the store to check on Dick, Ana ends up overpowering him by using her presence of mind. Since he was a part of Dick's plan to murder everyone in the store and steal the lottery ticket, he understands that he, too, would be considered a perpetrator in the crime. They even decide to walk out of the deal, but Sterling reels them in by reminding them that they are about to have a child. She suggests that since the lottery winner's car is still outside the store, they should first get rid of his car by making it look like it was stolen and dumped by a thief. After finding no family contacts on Laird's phone, Ana uses it to sell the narrative that he went on a vacation by sending messages and emails to his coworkers and office assistants. The group also puts Laird's body in his own car, while planting Cody's gun with it to fabricate the idea that Laird might have killed Cody.

Abraham then sets out to take the car to Fisher Island, but not everything goes as planned since Cody turns out to be alive. Cody then creates his own plan: he uses his phone to inform his father about the lottery ticket. With this, his father, Dick, and his friends show up at the store to get their hands on the lottery prize.

Ana and her baby miraculously survive. Meanwhile, Rutledge is labeled as a hero for putting his life on the line to save Ana and Abraham. However, only Ana and Abraham know the truth about what he did. Rutledge also gets $78 million from the lottery, and, as a new channel interviewer reveals, the world believes that Ana and Abraham gave it to him as a reward for protecting them. Rutledge seems content with his winnings because he makes it out of the confrontation with no scars. However, Ana and Abraham seemingly get the short end of the stick.

Your Lucky Day's Mid-Credits Scene Explained

The mid-credits scene suggests Ana & Abraham might eventually get caught

After Your Lucky Day pays its tribute to late actor Angus Cloud, a brief mid-credits scene shows a dog looking at Laird's van, which not only has Laird's body but also that of the cop who Abraham killed earlier in the film. After seeing the dog, the dog's owner also gets suspicious about what is inside the car. Although the film does not reveal what happens next, the dog owner will likely inform law enforcement after finding the bodies in the car.

With what will follow, it will not be long before law enforcers will find out that Abraham killed the cop and also blame him for Laird's murder. Owing to this, even though the film establishes that Abraham and Ana finally won the lottery money, they may not have the chance to enjoy it for long.
